Humans are the only race ever created without any element of magic. All other races, to more or less of an extent are "magical", despite several having no "abilities" in the purest sense.
Because of being entirely created by the Living Force, Humans's have the shortest lifespans of any other race, but also some of the most unique inclinations. More so than any other race, Humanity's strength is in diversity, and bringing an organization to chaos.
Humans are, technically speaking, the standard by which 'humanoid' is measured. Everyone reading this wiki knows what a human is, since you are one. In this world, Humans are no different, all races, appearances, shapes, and sizes are possible.
Humans are, first and foremost, consensus builders. Most humans would disagree with this, point out how hard it is to get three or more to agree on anything. But even in that statement the truth is shown; Humans intuitively measure the difficulty of building consensus. Most other races wouldn't know that off the top of their heads, unless their life experience has taught them that lesson through much difficulty.
Humans also naturally build communities. This seems to be a consiquence of their need to organize chaotic systems; even the most chaotic of humans has a system for organizing things; it just might not make sense to anyone else. Nothing will drive a human more mad than a group of people trying to accomplish a goal, an no one knows who's in charge, what the others are doing, or how close to the goal they are.
This doesn't mean all humans are good at these things. It simply means they're all inclined to try, good or not.
Due to Humanity's involvement in the sundering, the other mortal races are wary of them. However, those in the Living Realm have learned they need to live and work together, so Humans have integrated well.
Interestingly. Humanity is the only race not to claim a particular part of the Living Realm as their homelands. Individual families might have lands that are historically theirs, but Humanity in general has never had their own land. This has lead to Humans being spread across the entirety of the world. They can be found anywhere and everywhere.
Because Humans can be found in all corners of the world, every other race has learned to at least tolerate them. Most find their company pleasent, and they are often useful to have around. But that is where the consensus stops.
Humans? Well anyone who thinks they can get by without them is a fool. They're far too useful. That being said, we try not to think too hard about how they came into being. It's much easier that way.
Poor bastards have no home, and everyone blames them for the sundering. Not sure it was their fault. But like, as a race? They're fine, I guess. Some of them even make decent engineers, if they put their minds to it. Why? Know any looking for a job?
Oooh, Humans. They're broken, did you know that? No Magic. Shouldn't exist, and yet they do. Probably why the world broke, but we can't be sure of that. I mean, I'd love to figure them out, but you can't just start disecting people. They don't seem to like that, for some reason. But, if you could get me some dead humans... I could make it worth your time. ...Was that weird?
If you weren't luck enough to be born an Orc, your second best option is to be a Human. They understand Honor, and they respect it. Sure, some of them are dogs, but that true of any race. Humans aren't the strongest, smartest, cleverest, or most agile. And that's why they're so dangerous. They're way better at you in something. Gotta respect that.
