Elves are nearly universally considered the most elegant of the races. From their physical appearance, to their melodic voices, they are the pinnacle of the phrase "Appearance is everything." As one might expect, their culture puts a huge emphasis on how one presents themselves, and there is an undue burden on any respectible Elf to "keep up appearances" despite any circumstances.
To a lesser degree, Elves are known for their craftsmanship. While they might not be naturally gifted engineers like Dwarves, or pioneering breakthroughs like Gnomes, they are experts in taking elements from others, and combining them into stunningly perfect solutions to a problem. As an example, elven armor isn't the strongest, or the lightest, it's a perfect balance between strength, flexibility and comfort that makes it so highly prized.
Elves come nearly as varied as humans. There are sub-races of elves with different eye/hair/skin color, some with different heights, and a few with some rather Infernal or Celestial aspects.
What all elves have in common, is they tend to tall, athletic builds, and their ears are iconically pointed at the top.
Elves are excellent craftsmen, producing high quality goods of all kinds. They are well known for making the best of any particular item. This comes from their natural agility and fine motor control. They aren't the fastest or strongest of the other races, but they are the most precise.
Due to their social inclinations, Elves often find themselves in leadership position, or as diplomats. They excel at almost all social situations.
While Humans are community builders, Elves are nation builders. They were the first to organize the Living Realm. Without the Elven race, the history of the world would be a much more fractured, broken one.
Elves believe themselves to have originated in Tetri. The majority of their race still lives there, though there are pockets of Elves in all of the Five Kingdoms.
Elves are nearly universally trusted by the other races, because of their long history of being diplomats and rulers.
We built the Kingdoms, but it was the Elves that kept them together. They're such amazing craftsmen and diplomats, it's hard not to appreciate anything they decide to do. I mean, except for the wars. Those aren't exactly the greatest... Still though. Gotta love elves.
Thievin', cheatin', lyin' silver tounge'd devils. The whole lot of 'em. They think that just because it was made by a dwarf, they can make it better. I'd just as soon spit in their eye.
I mean, pretty standard humanoid, if you ask me. Nothing really exceptional about them, from a point of study. They're very meticulous, though, and that's a trait that should be encouraged. Other wise, though, I see no problem with letting them do what they do best. There's just not much mystery there.
There's an old Orcish saying, 'Never listen to an Elf'. I'm not sayin' they're all honorless dogs; most of them believe the lies they tell for their kings and queens. But that just means they're a naive bunch of children. You'd think, livin' as long as they do, they'd learn about the world, but guess not.
Just don't fight one, if you've got a choice. They're cunning, agile and will take advantage of any mistake you make. Make you almost wanna repespect 'em.
